BUS RIDES WILL BE FREE THROUGHOUT GOLD COAST, LOGAN, AND SUNSHINE COAST FROM WEDNESDAY 6 SEPTEMBER TO FRIDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2023

Over 500 bus drivers are taking part in a refusal to collect fares from passengers throughout the Gold Coast, Logan and Sunshine Coast this week for all of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Drivers are taking the action in response to low wages, driver shortages and a lack of investment in public transport.

Drivers have decided to take fare-free industrial action to avoid further disruption to the public while also utilising their right to take protected action.

We’re fighting for Safe Buses, Fair Pay, and the ability for passengers and drivers to have a real say in how Public Transport is designed.

We need investment in #OurPublicTransport in order to ensure that we have a safe and sustainable network now and in the future.
